Flax Seed Energy balls have a satiating combination of protein, good carbs, healthy fats, and high in fiber. ... Also, energy balls are portable, so they are the perfect healthy on-the-go snack before or after your workout!

Flaxseeds and roasted gram flour make a perfect combination of Omega 3 and proteins packing this energy with a load of goodness. Great to carry for a boost of energy on a picnic, trek, or even just to make and store at home. This recipe uses coconut sugar to sweeten the ladoos, but you could also use jaggery.

Ingredients

  • 1/ 4 cup ground flax seeds

  • 1/2 cup almond flour/meal (powdered almonds)

  • 3/4 cup chickpea flour/ gram flour

  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar

  • 3 Tbsp Ghee + 1Tbsp more if needed

Method

Heat the pan, melt 3 Tbsp ghee, add chickpea flour, and roast for 3-4 minutes stirring continuously.

Now add ground flax seeds to the chickpea flour and continue to roast while stirring continuously, till the mixture turns light brown in color and is very fragrant.

Turn off the flame at this time, add almond flour and coconut sugar, stir well to incorporate everything. You can add an additional 1 Tbsp ghee now if needed, to get the right consistency for forming balls.

Transfer into a bowl and allow it to cool, so you can comfortably handle the mixture and roll into balls.

Say a little prayer and enjoy it!
